The Weekly
One of the great opportunities for ACFID members is to get a chance to meet with newly appointed Ambassadors and share about work in the country where they will serve. With the continued DFAT shifts of power for national-level development strategy and funding decisions to move out from Canberra and to the local post, these are very strategic engagements and help lay a foundation for stronger linkages. This week, ACFID hosted a briefing for the Deputy Ambassador-designate to Thailand (thanks to those Members who participated), and you can sign up below for an opportunity to brief the incoming Ambassador to the Philippines
Looking ahead, next week we will convene the ACFID Member CEO Summit on 13 June at La Trobe University, Melbourne. Off the back of a tumultuous 6 months for the whole development ecosystem, the event will explore major shifts in how global aid is conceived, funded and delivered. We look forward to hearing from expert speakers, sharing global insights and holding peer discussions to support strategic thinking across sector leadership. It is not too late to register – there are still a few last-minute spaces available – further information can be found in the sections below.

ACFID 2025 Statistical Survey – Now Open!
It’s that time of year again – the ACFID Statistical Survey has landed in inboxes! Each year, we ask member organisations to share data on their international aid and development work. The survey has been sent to each organisation’s CEO and designated survey contact. We know it’s an additional task (and we really appreciate you making time for it), but your responses help spotlight your organisation’s impact and build a complete picture of our sector’s collective work. This also ensures that ACFID can help connect interested donors and other stakeholders with your work.
If you have any questions or need support completing the survey, please reach out via email at [email protected] – we’re here to help
