Reflection on the 2017 national conference
ACFID’s 2017 national conference in Melbourne marked our largest member engagement event in recent years and the culmination of months of preparation by ACFID’s secretariat.
Our Keynote Speakers
Keynote speakers during ACFID’s conference gave provocative addresses and ‘lightning talks’, which set the context for debate at the conference, exploring significant development challenges, and the role of innovation and collaboration in delivering impact for international development.
Setting Policy, Practice and Leadership
A series of resolutions were debated and passed at conference, as well as endorsement of a new President, a new Vice-President, and two new Board members, and re-election of two members to the Code of Conduct Committee (CCC).
Recognising Outstanding Contributions
ACFID presented three awards at its 2017 conference in Melbourne: The Sir Ron Wilson Human Rights Award, ACFID Media Award, and ACFID's Contribution to the Sector award.
