Political resolutions passed at the ACFID National Conference

Members passed two political resolutions at ACFID Annual General Meeting on 16 October.

 

The first resolution condemned cuts to Australia’s aid budget and the damage they have caused to people and communities around the world and to Australia’s relationships and prospects, and called on the Australian Government to rebuild the aid budget.

Motion: Call upon the Australian Government to rebuild Australia's aid program.

The second resolution called on the Government to end mandatory, indefinite detention of children and return children and their families from Nauru to Australia.
