The ACFID Code of Conduct is a voluntary, self-regulatory code of good practice. It sets standards of good practice for ACFID members, with the purpose of improving development and humanitarian action outcomes and increasing stakeholder trust. The Quality Principles are at the core of the code – nine high-level principles of practice spanning the approaches, processes, and organisational enablers that collectively contribute to quality development and humanitarian action.
The Spotlight on the Code series provides thematic ‘deep dives’ into each of the Quality Principles through stories, case studies, learning and resources that deepen our understanding of applying the Code in practice. For every Quality Principle, the Spotlight series shares the work of our members, including good practice, innovative approaches and stories of success.
For more about the purpose and approach of the Spotlight series, read the Spotlight launch blog by Clare Petre, Chair of ACFID’s Code of Conduct Committee.
Each new instalment in the Spotlight series will be launched on the ACFID blog, via our social media channels and in our monthly member bulletin. You can also contribute to future Spotlight instalments – if you want to share a story, tool or approach that shows good practice, email [email protected] to get involved.
