ACFID announces 2018 Conference Theme

20 Apr, 2018

ACFID is delighted to announce details of our 2018 National Conference.

This year’s theme is ‘Human Rights in the 21st Century - People. Planet. Peace’. The theme has been chosen in recognition of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; Australia’s inaugural year as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council; and to mark the 25th anniversary of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action.

The conference will be held on 30-31 October 2018 at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Save the date!

We will be hearing from agents of social change, and explore the intersections between development, humanitarian assistance and human rights. We encourage you to attend and join leading minds to be exposed to big ideas, deep philosophies and innovative practice.

In the coming months we will be calling for Expressions of Interest from members to run concurrent sessions. We look forward to hearing from you!

If you have any questions about ACFID’s National Conference, please contact ACFID’s conference lead Raewyn Lans.
