ACFID invites members and organisations to host conference sessions

24 May, 2018

ACFID is inviting expressions of interest from members and external organisations to host concurrent sessions at its annual conference on 30-31 October 2018 in Sydney.

The purpose of the ACFID National Conference 2018 is to explore how the Australian development and humanitarian sector can apply human rights approaches in the light of contemporary challenges and opportunities.

As part of the two-day national conference program, there will be space for a number of concurrent sessions that contribute to advancing each of the conference sub-themes of ‘People. Planet. Peace’. Read more about the conference theme here.

ACFID Conference Lead, Raewyn Lans, has encouraged members and external organisations to think outside the box, be bold and draw from experts within and outside the sector. Members could choose to hone in on a particular theme or issue, or showcase innovative approaches to doing development differently for greater impact.

Lans added:

“Conference provides an important platform to share good practice and profile the work of ACFID’s members through engaging, thought provoking sessions.

“Through a diversity of voices, it is our intention that speakers not only inspire, but challenge our current ways of working.”

To submit an expression of interest (EOI) to host a concurrent session, please download the form from ACFID’s website and return this form to Raewyn Lans by Thursday 28 June.

For more information, or If applicants have any questions regarding their EOI or this year’s annual conference, please contact Raewyn Lans by email at [email protected] or call 02 8123 2235.
