Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong has announced that the government will be designing a new policy for Australia’s development cooperation program and humanitarian assistance. ACFID welcomed this announcement via a media release here.
ACFID has recommended that the process include an external expert advisory panel and meaningful engagement with civil society (including in Australia’s partner countries).Â
DFAT has publicly released the Terms of Reference for the new policy on their website here. DFAT has released guidance on submissions. Public submissions will be open until 30 November 2022.
