Racial Justice Training (Online)
ACFID members are invited to attend a half-day, online training on Racial Justice. The purpose of these trainings is to help ACFID members understand and implement racial justice and anti-racism strategies in their workplace. The training will also support members meet the new ACFID Code Commitments related to Anti-Racism and Racial Justice.
This training is open to any staff, board of ACFID members who are engaged with or have oversight of ensuring their organization meets the ACFID Code requirements related to Anti-racism and Racial Justice.
This training will be repeated a number of times to accommodate all participants.

Got a great development story?
Submit ideas for ABC’s Common Cause Part II by 23 March 2026
DFAT is looking for great story ideas for the 2026–27 season of Common Cause, the current DFAT/ABC series celebrating development changemakers.
For the series, ABC are inviting nominations of individuals, both local and Australian, who are driving development solutions to global challenges in the Indo‑Pacific region. Eight new stories will begin filming in April or May for broadcast and social media distribution to an audience of 10.5 million.
The main countries of interest are the Philippines and Vanuatu, followed by Indonesia, PNG, Solomon Islands and Fiji. Past series have shown this is a great opportunity to raise awareness for grassroots programs. For more information, including on how to apply, please contact [email protected].

ACFID Connect: Is Your Organisation Built for a World That No Longer Exists?
The humanitarian and international development sector is facing a reckoning. With humanitarian funding retreating to 2016 levels while global defence spending hits an all-time high of $2.7 trillion, the “peace dividend” of the last 80 years has effectively finished. Intersecting crises from increased conflict to the climate emergency to rampant inequality are demanding a different response from civil society. For Boards and CEOs of civil society organisations, the central question is often less likely to be about growth and more likely to be about survival.
Join this ACFID Connect, facilitated by Archie Law AM, who will unpack the transformation journey of an ACFID Member, Act for Peace. This session is designed specifically for governance leaders who are grappling with the issue of whether incremental change in their organisations will be enough.

ACFID Connect: Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) Design Update
ACFID is hosting a consultation with members and DFAT colleagues on the updated design of the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP).
The AIFFP team will provide:
– An overview of the AIFFP and its current activities
– An update on the Pacific Climate Infrastructure Financing Partnership (PCIFP)
Australia is backing Pacific priorities and will invest an additional $550 million in official developmental assistance (ODA) grants through the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP), including for digital infrastructure development. The new commitment brings the AIFFP’s total facility financing to $4.55 billion, comprising a $3 billion loan cap and $1.55 billion in ODA grants.
