The Weekly

Marc Purcell, what is at the top of your mind this week?

The Safer World for All campaign had its parliamentary launch in Canberra this week. CEOs from Australian development and humanitarian organizations across the country joined in championing the need for an increase in the foreign aid budget to 0.5% of Gross National Income by 2027. Through meetings with politicians across the political spectrum, ACFID members advocated for the Australian Government to act in light of the poly-crisis: the overlapping challenges hitting our world all at once. We thank all those who have been involved in the development of the campaign, including our partners MICAH, and to all those who shared our message across Parliament House this week on behalf of the sector.
