The Weekly
Marc Purcell, what is at the top of your mind this week?
The ACFID team has been busy preparing for ACFID Conference in two weeks and we can’t wait to see many of you there!
Opening Conference 2024 will be a special performance by six Pacific climate activists, followed by an important conversation on the critical advocacy and actions needed in the leadup to COP31.Â
We’re very pleased to announce that Katherine Teh, Executive Chairman of Spektrum Development, will be joining us on Day 1 to discuss how “radical democracy” can deliver the critical minerals needed for a net zero future.
On Day 2, participate in a thought-provoking discussion on resilience-building chaired by Dr Helen Durham, CEO RedR Australia, with three expert international speakers, Adelina Kamal, Dr Malaka Shwaikh and Razmi Farook.
You’ll be spoilt for choice across the two days with 15 in person concurrent to choose from and a further 9 for our virtual attendees. Our thanks to the ACFID members and their partners who are delivering such a fantastic array of discussions and workshops.
We encourage you to invite your local partners to attend ACFID Conference virtually. For the next week there will be a discounted price, with $25 tickets for virtual group registrations. See the information below for more details.
To view the full program and side events visit the Conference website.
