Today, ACFID officially welcomed six new members onboard at our Annual General Meeting: five full members and one affiliate member.

ACFID CEO Marc Purcell welcomed the new members, stating:

“We are incredibly pleased to welcome these members to the ACFID community; a community based on inclusion and equality, a community consisting of experienced and powerful members, united in their pursuit to realise a just and sustainable world.

Becoming an ACFID member involves a rigorous and time-honoured process of measuring development practice against a professional standard that is developed and maintained by their peers”

ACFID is delighted to welcome these organisations into a network that collaborates across policy, programming, governance, advocacy, and more – all using the extensive experience of the broad and diverse membership.

ACFID’s newest members are:

• Care For Africa unites and works with communities to fight against poverty and empower independence by providing water, health, education and enterprise in Tanzania’s Tarime District.
• The 40K Foundation works to improve equitable access to quality English literacy education and digital learning for children in under-resourced communities across Asia. 
• Pollinate Group empowers women as leaders of change to distribute products that improve health, save time and save money for the world’s most neglected communities. Working in India and Nepal, their solution is dedicated to tackling poverty alleviation, gender equality and access to affordable and clean energy.
• Pacific Assist serves the nations of the South Pacific with the mission to inspire individuals, families, and communities to be emotionally, physically, economically, and educationally self-reliant. Pacific Assist identifies disadvantaged communities and assists them to build their self-reliance capacity through education, health and well-being initiatives.
• Hope for Children works to transform the lives of vulnerable children, young people and their communities in Ethiopia. Through their health, education and livelihood initiatives, they empower youth to prosper as a result of their own hard work and achievements, and gives each child the chance to reach their full potential.
• Global Citizen (Affiliate member), is a movement of engaged citizens who are using their collective voice to end extreme poverty by 2030. Through a mix of content and events, grassroots organising, and an action platform, they are building a movement to end poverty.
