ACFID officially welcomed five new members at our Annual General Meeting in October. ACFID is now joined by four new full members and one affiliate member.
ACFID’s newest full members are:
Litehaus International. An Australian NGO and registered charity which exists to remove barriers to quality education. Identifying digital inequality as a major constraint to learning, The organization works on bridging the digital divide in the classroom and for students at home across the Asia-Pacific region.
Worldshare Australia. A Christian international aid organisation whose mission is to see lives transformed and hope restored across the world through education, health and sharing the gospel.
Australian Afghan Hassanian Youth Association (AAHYA). A non-profit community organisation supporting migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum with their settlement in Australia. Their reach extends internationally to assist disadvantaged families and communities where resources for education, employment and social security is limited.
Mercy Ships Australia. An international development organisation that deploys hospital ships and volunteers to developing nations, improving quality of life through direct medical services, and building the capacities of healthcare systems to meet the needs of the future.
ACFID’s newest affiliate member:
Women’s Plans Foundation. A charitable trust raising funds for family planning as an integral part of overseas aid programs in developing nations across the Asia-Pacific region.
