ACFID Conference 2024 turns our attention to how fostering solidarity and resilience is essential for promoting sustainable development and creating a more equitable and just world. The two-day program includes space for both virtual and face-to-face concurrent sessions that advance the conference theme by exploring topics, issues or bold ideas for delegates to learn about, discuss and debate.
Concurrent sessions are an important platform to delve deeper into specific aspects of the Conference theme through formats which promote participation of delegates.
ACFID’s Learning and Impact Advisor, Anne Fitzpatrick, encourages organisations considering submitting an EOI, to harness diverse perspectives. “We are looking for sessions that will help us answer questions such as ‘How can we better amplify the voices of local communities and organizations to ensure that development efforts are truly driven by solidarity and mutual support?’and ‘How can the concept of resilience be used to address underlying structural issues that perpetuate inequality and people’s experiences of vulnerability?”
Commenting on the call for EOIs, ACFID’s Conference Lead, Raewyn Lans said: “Conference 2024 will be an opportunity for the sector to come together for 2 days of challenging and inspiring conversations about fostering solidarity and resilience to create a more equitable and just world.”
“We are looking forward to expressions of interest for sessions that actively involve delegates through virtual collaborative technologies or face to face participation and engagement.”
The call for EOIs is open until Friday 12th July 2024, with information sessions available for interested organisations.
