As part of Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns (PAC) team, you will use your skills, qualifications, lived experience and initiative to tackle inequality and flight poverty. Yes, you read that right, lived experience and initiative, because it is not all about key selection criteria.

The Role

Lead on the development and delivery of advocacy and campaign strategies across four dimensions of inequality that keep people in poverty, namely; First People’s Justice, Climate Justice, Gender Justice and Economic Justice. You will also contribute to advocacy and campaigns addressing humanitarian assistance policy.

You will also have oversight of supporter engagement strategies, public messaging, and tactics to influence change and deepen and extend supporter engagement with the agency’s public advocacy campaigns.

You will work closely with the Strategic Leads, Head of Humanitarian and other program staff, media and staff in the Fundraising and Resource Growth unit to support Oxfam’s public work.

Desired Skills and Experience
A little about you (the key selection criteria)

Demonstrated ability to contribute to the strategic direction of Oxfam Australia’s advocacy and campaigns.
Experience in developing and implementing best practice advocacy, campaigns, engagement and mobilisation strategies.
Knowledge of corporate and brand influencing strategies and campaigns.
Experience in undertaking secondary and tertiary research, analysing research and applying research findings to advocacy campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt writing styles to a range of audiences.
Knowledge of systems and processes to support and deepen engagement – including CRM, data analysis, digital marketing and integration with fundraising.
Experience working in a dynamic environment with cross-team and inter-organisational collaborations.
