The Foundation is an international development organisation working to prevent blindness and restore sight.  We continue to carry on the legacy of Professor Fred Hollows, who believed every person had the right to quality eye care, no matter where they live. The Foundation has grown to work in more than 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, as well as Australia. The Foundation has restored sight to more than 3 million people worldwide. We have an ambitious five-year strategic plan that aims to take us even closer to realising our vision of a world in which no person is needlessly blind, or vision impaired and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to sight and good health.

ABOUT YOU

Are you passionate about technology and keen to make a positive impact for good? Embark on a fulfilling career journey with us as a Dynamics 365 Development / Support Analyst and become an integral part of transforming how we operate. This is a technical development and support role based around Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, along with other technology development and support in and around data and systems, working with a busy Business Systems and Integration team engaged in a significant program of business transformation with the Microsoft stack at its centre.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Dynamics 365 Development / Support Analyst is accountable for supporting and helping to implement and extend multiple Dynamics 365 and Power Platform based systems at The Fred Hollows Foundation (currently including the NFP Accelerator which manages programmatic projects, partnerships, grants, and results; a localized Hong Kong fundraising CRM; and US and Australian Donor CRMs based on D365 Fundraising & Engagement). The role will also play an important part in other technology projects using Microsoft technologies (including Azure, Office 365, SharePoint online and the Power Platform tools) as well as participating in the day-to-day support needs of a small internal business systems team supporting multiple systems (including non-Microsoft SaaS and legacy on premise).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Helping to configure, enhance and support The Foundation’s Dynamics 365 environments. This includes working systematically to analyse defects/work requests, identify causes, and resolve issues while anticipating broader implications of change, supporting D365 project implementations, developing and supporting interfaces/integrations between Dynamics 365 and other systems and supporting the broader IT team and business in extending and maximizing use of Microsoft technologies including Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and the Power Platform tools.
  • Collaborate with the business and IT teams to support new business systems projects, integrations, and process changes to continually improve organisation data capture, data hygiene and data usage for improved business decision-making.
  • Conduct effective unit testing and integration testing to ensure the highest quality products.
  • Participate in timely resolution of support requests for various systems.
  • Contribute to disciplined development lifecycle and application / vendor management processes.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Previous experience in dynamic 365 development (ideally with knowledge of Fundraising & Engagement) deployment, development, customisation, support, and integration.
  • Experience working in internal business systems support and low-code development / configuration.
  • Experience in conducting effective unit and integration testing to ensure the highest quality outcomes are delivered to the business.
  • Strong experience in supporting / engaging with business users in the rollout of systems and functions.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment, solving problems and ensuring stakeholders are part of the solution.
  • Strong skills in solution design and experience understanding complex requirements, and ensuring secure, stable, and sustainable solutions.
  • Solid skills in the usage of the MS Power platform with both SharePoint and D365
  • Solid background in SQL and other data source technologies
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI, Java, C#, Integrations, Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • Any experience working for an international development NGO.
