Exciting opportunity for a fluent French speaker to provide support to, and manage aspects of, the Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures en Leadership Humanitaire and Programme de Leadership en situation de Crises short courses within the Centre of Humanitarian Leadership.

• HEW 6 $89,012 – $96,126 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

The position will coordinate and manage aspects of the PLC short courses, including promotion, student communication, applications, facilitator engagement, logistics, travel, finance, contracts, process improvements and supporting future business development opportunities for the expansion of the program.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the smooth planning and delivery of the PLC program from commencement to completion.
• Act as the primary contact for student communications, enrolment, and orientation for the Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership-Francophone (Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures en Leadership Humanitaire, or DESLH) and ensure all Deakin student information is available in French.
• Support in project and financial management with the Projects and Grants Manager for the DESLH and PLC short courses within the francophone humanitarian sector.
• Support recruitment of DESLH and PLC short course applications and enrolments with the Communications and Marketing Team and triage the review of applications with the Selection Panel and administer application outcomes.
• Management of logistics and resources for course participants and facilitators at offshore delivery locations.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Must be bilingual and fluent in French and English, with either native, C1, or ‘advanced’ fluency in both languages.
• A degree with subsequent relevant experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in a coordination role, preferably within a tertiary institution, research institute, NGO or similar organisation managing program coordination and delivery functions
• Experience in project management, and the use of project management approaches
• Experience with University and/or NGO financial systems for financial management including accounts payable and receivable.
• Understanding and experience of humanitarian work and humanitarian environments and knowledge of associated educational and research funding environment.
