It’s a very real thought on everyone’s mind: how are we going to save our planet? To explore this question, ACFID is delighted to announce that Damon Gameau will speak at the upcoming national conference in October.
Gameau is the writer and director of the feature documentary 2040, a film that follows his journey to explore what the future could look like by 2040 if we embraced the best technology available to us now, and shifted it into the mainstream.
Gameau is known for asking big questions, gaining household attention in 2014 with his documentary, That Sugar Film – a project that went on to become the highest-grossing documentary of all time.
Focusing on different areas such as renewable energy, alternative transportation, saving marine life, and more, Gameau structures 2040 as a conversation with his young daughter, for whom he hopes he can create a better and more sustainable world as she grows.
For everyone feeling overwhelmed about the current inaction on climate change, this talk is not-to-be-missed. Join us at the upcoming national conference to hear about solutions to the climate emergency that we can embrace and scale today.
