ABOUT YOU
You will have excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to the audience. You will have experience developing successful grants and be an experienced project manager. Further you will work well under pressure, and be able to hit deadlines with competing priorities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Strategic Projects Advisor (Fundraising) is accountable to acquire new funding by identifying key prospects aligned to organisational strategic projects across the Pacific and Social Impact Investment through grant writing, donor stewardship, writing bespoke proposals, establishing a donor circle and collaboration with key stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Achieving the key objectives and results for financial year 2023 around the key strategic projects: Pacific Resource Mobilisation and Social Impact Investment.
• Developing clear acquisition plans for raising targeted funding for major project areas for the Foundation focused on the Pacific and social impact investment.
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders (internal and external) to identify key prospects, acquisition of new networks, businesses, donor relationships to achieve the key project targets.
• Developing and coordinating campaigns, events, other donor engagement activities including a donor giving circle to generate revenue for the identified strategic projects.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
• Experience in securing large philanthropic gifts from High-net-worth-individuals, trusts and foundations and corporates.
• Experience in working in social impact investment.
• Experience in grant writing, strategic project planning and executing key donor engagement. Including setting up and/or managing giving circles.
• Knowledge, understanding and experience working with financial intermediaries, wealth managers and investment advisors.
• Experience working closely with a variety of stakeholders to create and source income from prospect lists and other acquisition sources.
• Experience using MS Office Suite.
Desirable:
• Strong knowledge and experience of resource mobilisation to support the work in the Pacific.
• Experience of working in the NGO sector.
• Experience working with Major Donors, large Philanthropic organisations, Trusts, and Foundations, corporates, PAFs, PAuFs.
• Experience in all aspects of the donor journey.
• Working knowledge of Raisers Edge or similar CRMs.
