The Position
IJM Australia began with a lot of goodwill, passion, and dedication which has enabled us to arrive at where we are today. To support our next stage of growth and enable us to deepen our impact, we are seeking an experienced non-executive director with specific interests and skills in international development and its connection and relevance to Australia. An intimate understanding of slavery through either professional or lived experience in areas where slavery is happening is desirable.
Skills, Experience and Attributes
We need a board member preferably with experience in:
- International development and the Australian context
- Community and/or political engagement
- Theology
- Requirements and expectations on development organisations in Australia
- DFAT grants, or philanthropy.
You will also be:
- Financially astute, strategic and innovative
- Exposed to international development expectations and best practices
- A confident decision maker
- Possess wisdom and life
