Our Keynote Speakers
Engage – Action and Advocacy
Lily Thapa, founder of Nepal’s Women for Human Rights, provided an exceptional opening address to participants of ACFID’s 2017 conference. Ms Thapa’s account of her personal journey from Nepalese widowhood to working for the social, political, economic and legal rights of single women in Nepal and South Asia was both sobering and truly inspirational.
Create – Transformational Organisations
Keynote lightning talks from ACFID’s CEO Marc Purcell, Gilbert Kamanga, National Director, World Vision Uganda, Sandra Robinson, CEO Together SA, and Katrina Dulanovic, KPMG, highlighted some of the enabling environments for transformational change in Australian organisations. These exciting talks included transformational ways of working towards impact at scale, systems approaches and collective impact for broad scale change, and the transformational opportunity of Big Data.
Lead – Transformational Organisations
Political Adviser to Diverse Voices and Action for Equality, and globally recognised activist, Noelene Nabulivou, inspired conference participants with a stirring address on leadership, exploring the links between gender equality and women’s rights, human rights, climate justice, environmental justice and sustainable development.
