The Foundation has grown to work in more than 25 countries throughout Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, as well as Australia. The Foundation has restored sight to more than 3 million people worldwide. We have an ambitious five-year strategic plan that aims to take us even closer to realising our vision of a world in which no person is needlessly blind or vision impaired and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to sight and good health.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have sound knowledge of financial accounting & reporting systems, financial analysis, practical experience of financial modelling, and ideally experience / knowledge of PowerBI. You will have high level communication, consultation, interpersonal and negotiating skills (both oral and written), with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders at strategic and operational levels. Further, you will have strong problem-solving skills and ability to initiate tasks without supervision. Finally, you will have strong ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical and strong planning and organising skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for assisting with production of group & divisional reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting. The role contributes to the continuous improvement cycle through systemisation and integration of financial processes and systems, report development and financial analysis. As an integral part of Business Partnering model, the role supports the Commercial Partner with any day-to-day financial & business requirements of the divisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with the preparation of annual planning & budgeting process, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Assist with the production of FHF group, subsidiary entities and divisional monthly reporting cycles.
• Contribute to the high standard of financial and non-financial systems cohesion and continuously develop creative and simplified solutions for enhanced systemization of manual financial processes whilst ensuring technical accuracy of the accounting system outputs and Identifying opportunities for better reporting and analysis.
• Support the development of new financial reporting systems, in particular Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Support the effective management of the divisions’ financial, technical and operational requirements in order to achieve the Foundations strategic objectives.
• Provide high quality customer service with specialist financial advice, analysis and technical assistance to internal stakeholders.
• Engage in building financial capability & capacity within the divisions.
• Contribute to effective collaboration between the divisions and support teams.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
• CPA or CA Qualification with experience in accounting roles.
• Sound budgeting, forecasting & financial modelling experience.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing financial reports.
• Demonstrated experience in using multiple financial systems and the ability to assimilate with emerging technologies/ systems.
• Demonstrated experience of effective collaboration involving different teams/departments/divisions
• Demonstrated ability to maintain positive public relations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in an international NGO environment or multinational corporation
• Experience with project planning
• Experience with Change management
