MCRI’s Global Health Strategic Initiative is part of a global effort to place children and adolescents at the centre of sustainable development and the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our approach to sustainable development is enabled by the co-location of research, education and care at the Melbourne Children’s, which promotes learning within health systems to improve child and adolescent health. Our Global Health Strategic Initiative has global reach, with implementation focused in the Indo-Pacific region. We collaborate with the World Health Organization, governments in the Indo-Pacific, research institutes, universities, health care services and non-government organisations.
The Senior Project Finance Officer (Global Health) will lead the development, strengthening and implementation of processes that comply with relevant legislation, standards and donor requirements for financial management of projects conducted in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The position will support MCRI Finance Teams, project managers and researchers in project financial management in LMICs. They will support relationships with LMIC partners and collaborators to strengthen the financial management of projects operating in the Indo-Pacific. This role will develop and deliver training, support a learning culture and support the establishment and management of new relationships and processes to facilitate operations in some settings.
This role may include travel to countries in the Indo-Pacific.
