About Us
Now in our third phase, the Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) seeks to lift the quality of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), improve employment outcomes for graduates and encourage greater investment in training. Since 2020, the Highlands Agricultural College (HAC) Mt Hagen has been a partner of APTC.
The Role
The Senior Skills Manager’s key responsibility is implementing activities to develop national TVET capability to deliver competency-based skills programs (nationally accredited PNG qualifications) that meet the needs of the PNG labour market.
The Senior Skills Manager will collaborate with colleagues and partner institutions to facilitate and supervise the implementation of capability development initiatives, agreed projects and training resource development while ensuring training and delivery requirements comply with the relevant Qualifications and National TVET Regulations as required for the delivery of PNG qualifications.
In addition, the Senior Skills Manager will support APTC’s gender equity, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) initiatives to ensure GEDSI is integrated into operations at the campus level.
