New Development Policy 2023

On the 8th of August 2023, the Australian Government released its new long-term International Development Policy. The policy aims to advance a peaceful, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific, which requires promoting sustainable development and lifting people out of poverty.

ACFID welcomed the policy’s announcement via media release here.

ACFID also produced an in-depth analysis of the policy. This summarises the highlights of the policy, what’s missing and what ACFID are looking forward to seeing next. This can be accessed here.
