Location Details

We’re excited to bring Melbourne Walk My Way to Good News Lutheran College, Tarneit, in the fast-growing western suburbs of Melbourne. This the perfect location to step out so that children can step up. You’ll enjoy the cultural community hub and the opportunity to walk alongside the picturesque Werribee river trail. Together we’ll extend ALWS’ legacy of love and care by changing the future for 75,000 vulnerable children impacted by conflict and poverty.

Church

You’re welcome to come at 9:30am and join us for worship at St Philips Lutheran Church, Tarneit. St Philips is located on-site at Good News Lutheran College, 580 Tarneit Rd, Tarneit.

Community Hub

Before and after your walk, you can enjoy the Community Hub… there will be something for the whole family.
Come early to collect your walking kit, enjoy a coffee and some lunch from the food stalls before you set out on your walk. You might choose to browse the stalls or sit back and enjoy the live cultural performances on the main stage. And then at the end of your walk you might like to treat yourself to a sweet reward from one of our food stalls as you connect with new and old friends.

‘Step out to help a child Step Up!

Funds raised through this event will support vulnerable children impacted by poverty and war – Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya, Burundi, Bangladesh, Nepal and Ukraine.
Just $25 can change the future for a vulnerable child.
For example:
–    $25 can provide a school kit for a refugee child in Kakuma refugee camp, Kenya.
–    $25 can provide 5kg of maize seeds to four families in Burundi so they can provide food for their children.
–    $25 can provide a hygiene kit for a young child in South Sudan.
–    $25 can provide clean drinking water for a month for a child impacted by war in Ukraine.
–    $25 can provide emergency food assistance for school children in Bangladesh.
–    $25 can provide school kits for children affected by floods in Nepal.
–    $25 can provide one month’s porridge ration for a family in Somalia.
Join us on Sunday 30 March as we step out so that a child can step up!
